This campground is terrible. First off, a majority of the tent sites sit next to a pond. Also, the sites are on a hill and incredibly small. When it rains, expect your site to be flooded and tons of mosquitoes. This campground is essentially a rundown trailer park. Don’t come if you are trying to tent.

Some nice spots but site 40 is not one of them. I applaud this campground for keeping their rates affordable in this area of Maine. Some nice spots but site 40 is not one of them. I applaud this campground for keeping their rates affordable in this area of Maine. The location is excellent, very close to Kennebunkport, Biddeford, Saco, and only about 20 minutes to Portland. Our site was a dirt (mud) lot which was tough to get our 35 foot fifth wheel into. The site was perfectly level and the utilities worked well. It was also quiet at night. I wouldn’t recommend this campground to folks with large rigs unless you are really good/confident at driving and backing it. We also had to use 4 wheel drive to get out of the site to gain traction in the mud. For smaller rigs perhaps 28” and shorter it would probably work well. I think this park is mostly full of seasonal/permanent residents. All were very nice and welcoming to us when we walked around the park. There is a large pond in the park which is beautiful, but be prepared for mosquitos. I wouldn’t come back with my rig, but this may be an option for those on a budget with a smaller rig who want to visit the area. Just keep in mind that you are looking at budget accommodations, but in an awesome location.

This place is a great location to explore southern Maine. Kennebunkport, Old Orchard, Portland and many beautiful sandy ocean beaches are only minutes away. The price is way below all of the other campgrounds in the area. We had electric and water hookup with a fire ring and picnic table in our site. There is a new pool just put in this year. The campground is old and would be tight for a large rig. Most of the spots are taken by seasonal campers and everyone is very friendly. The owners are great people.
Paul & Gin would stay here again

This campground recently changed hands and the new owners have done a tremendous job bringing it back to life. It was previously Shamrock Campground, and the name changed in June 2024.
