Oak Island RV Campground

Signage was bad. We did not know what driveway to enter & nor where the office was. This was a small Rv park but there were a lot of trailers Sid by side. It looked like the majority of them were full timers. This park was run down but it did do what we needed it too and that was to be our home base for the weekend as we traveled about the area visiting family and tourist sites. We had a back in (all sites were back in) with full hook ups. Check in was easy enough after we found the office. The woman at the desk was pleasant. We were not able to use The original Rv spot as the trailer beside our spot had their vehicle in our way so she had to run back to the office to see if she had another site for us. This site had a tall pine tree beside it and we had an issue getting around it and the trailers added on wooden porch across from our site. We finally managed to get our rig in the site . The Rv park is between a busy highway and a small airport but since we were gone during the day that didn’t matter. At night when we got back the highway was less busy and the airport was too, so we slept great. There is a laundry room towards the back of the park. It has one washer and one dryer and cost is by the honor system.
We would stay here again, only as the last resort.
