We rolled into Oak Hollow after being unable to get into Tanglewood. We were greeted by a surly older gentleman, who had kindly held a spot for us when we called him that morning. While you can reserve spaces at this campground, you cannot make a reservation within a week of arrival.

After rolling up and down some hills to see where our large rig was to be positioned in 'section B', we noted that our saved spot was currently occupied by spill over vehicles from other campers. We requested to be able to move into another spot (several were unoccupied), but the surly gentleman was not having that. We asked the neighbors to move their vehicles and we crammed ourselves between two other large rigs with ~7 feet on each side of us. Yay.

Section 'B' is a parking lot back-in area mostly occupied by 'the big boys' - lots of 40'+ fifth wheels and large groups of folks occupying them. There are no picnic tables or fire rings in this section. Hook-ups are behind you - and you will likely need extensions to reach them (we needed to use our electric cord extender and two sewer hoses, but reached water just fine with one hose).

Decently quiet on weekday evenings, it was a bit loud with neighbors enjoying themselves around propane fires (which they brought) on the weekends. Every morning was filled with the sounds of diesel trucks coming and going.

There is a gate which is locked after 8pm until 8am for which you are given a code to enter/exit. We were given the wrong code and got stuck inside the park - luckily a campground worker arrived early for work and helped us out.

There are two other loops for camping - Loop A provides a more 'camping' feel and is set amongst trees - but the sites are not overly level up there.

The pool was closed for the season. I will note it is pretty small - and there is a sign that says guests are not allowed in the pool - only campers.

No trails or great running opportunities in the area, but we saw kids fishing in the pond that the campground is set alongside.

WiFi was ok - fine for web surfing.

Overall, it's a fine place to park your butt for a week to explore the area.
