Great stay at Onegum. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and the campground has been very quiet and well maintained. Some sites back up right to the lake, which look nice (ours does not). We stayed at site #9 and it was very spacious, we easily pulled in our 33ft trailer.

This is a wonderful campsite except: - site 36 is a little tight for a 40 foot class A - 30 amp pedestal only had 100 VAC, my surge protector would not “pull in”. The Forest Service gentleman was very helpful. He switched the 30 and 20 amp breakers as the 20amp leg had 110 volts. During the day the voltage would drop to 103 as ... more

The Forest Service gentleman was very helpful. He switched the 30 and 20 amp breakers as the 20amp leg had 110 volts. During the day the voltage would drop to 103 as the temperature was in the 90’s. The Forest Service needs to:
- upgrade the electrical wiring
- open up the campsite or shorten the suggested length for site 36 to 35 foot max.

We seek the outdoors to find peace and get away from 24-hour news cycles and political posts on Facebook. While we shrug and look the other way when a fellow camper decorated their site with politics; we really didn’t expect or need to see the full display by our campground hosts. They seem nice however misguided, but we just aren’t here to be reminded of the turmoil we face daily at home. Yeah, freedom of speech is great but you’re serving everyone at a federal facility. Give it a rest. It reflects badly on the concessioner as well as the local park service.

“Beautiful deep woods NF C/G, electricity only at sites, spacious sites.”

Great NF C/G with large sites with electricity. Heavily treed, most sites easy to back into, firewood available from hosts. Small unguarded beach, boat dock, can beat boats at lakeside sites. A definite wilderness setting. Minimal cell and wifi service, spotty at best.
