I drove to Cape Split Provincial park and when I got there chatted with someone who had camped overnight in his Class B van. The parking lot has lots of room and has views of the ocean. I camped a few minutes away at a Harvest Host winery, then drove to this parking lot to do a gravel cycling ride. The sign says overnight parking is allowed, and when I got there, someone in a Winnebago Solis had definitely spent the night. The sign says "park overnight at your own risk", but it's allowed. Really nice spot to overnight. Picnic tables, level, grassy. Apparently electricity (we were not aware) but would rather be at the back by the trees anyway. Dump station with rinse water. Fantastic, grassy lot with free electricity! We pulled in and it was Hank Snow Summer Festival and we still were able to park about 100 yards away from the stage. We could hear all the performers. What a treat. They also have a dump station with water. A travelers dream!
