This was the first place I headed when I left California in my motor home. I’d read about it. It is a stunningly beautiful, pristine alpine lake and is one of the purest in the world. You can hike as little or as much as you want on the lake trail or a trail that leads to another lake about two miles beyond it. The campground roads are paved so are good for biking. My big regret is that I did not have a kayak at the time. The camp host was friendly and attentive. I did not use the bathrooms so cannot speak to their cleanliness. My site was adequate for my 31’ rig and fairly level. I saw larger rigs there as well as well as tents. There is NO cell service whatsoever.
