Only reason for 4 stars is due to road noise. I prefer Starett Lake as it’s more peaceful. Otherwise a great stay. No hookups but it does have a dump.

“Did a drive through of 5 of the parks in this area”

All 5 of the parks in this area are well maintained. A lot of them have sites that are on the lake. They all have pit toilets and some way to obtain water. There are 5 "modern campgrounds" in this area that have flush toilets, showers but none of them have power. You have to use generators. Some have pump outs and some do not. If you are not a resident of Wisconsin then you have to purchase a annual $38 recreation sticker (Wisconsin residents pay $28) to visit a state park or forest. Then pay $20 to $25 for each night of camping. So for one night it is about $58. If you are staying for a week or a month you only have to pay the $38 for the recreation sticker once since it is good for a year.
jks would stay here again
