North Shore Dump Station

This dump station is included with a paid overnight camping reservation. Otherwise there is a hefty dump fee payable at the nearby visitor center, which is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May-September. After hours it is gated and locked. There are two lanes with the dump pipes in between. There is no water here to rinse out the tube. Checkout time is 11 a.m., so it could be busy in late mornings. A Colorado State Parks day pass or annual pass is also required.

We pulled in to inquire about the dump station and was told it was $45 to drain our black and grey tanks.

Then when my wife got out of our truck to pour some of our own water into a dog bowl, “Karen” come running out to tell her she couldn’t use the water without paying.

The adjacent campground was near empty and now I know why.
