“Lovely Lake!”

Reviewed Jul 30, 2018

Overall Rating

We'd planned on dry camping here and then using the dump station and fresh water but found that someone had left a day early so we were able to have the last E & W site. It wasn't perfectly level but adequate for a brief night's stay. There was a lovely, unobstructed lake (reservoir) view. It's right off the main road (US `14/16/2... more

“Great Location!”

Reviewed Jul 12, 2017

Overall Rating

This is such a great location if you are in the Cody area. Reserve months ahead if possible to snag a water and electric site. The sites along the water look fabulous. Camp host was selling firewood for a donation. A quick ten minute drive to Cody. A one hour drive from Yellowstone Lake and 45 minutes to the East Yellowstone entrance. ... more

“One of our favorites”

Reviewed Sep 04, 2016

Overall Rating

This was one of our favorite campsites ever. Such a beautiful view and large sites with plenty of room and privacy. We stayed in the north shore section with water and electric hookups. Verizon coverage was good there also. Convenient to Cody, and about 1.5 hours to the Fishing bridge section of Yellowstone.

“Beautiful views!”

Reviewed Aug 19, 2016

Overall Rating

We loved it here. We were going to camp at North Fork, but decided not to because the firefighters had taken over the lower loop and the dump station. Since we were just coming back from Yellowstone, we decided to go down to North Shore to use the dump station and look around. We found this awesome site with spectacular views. We had n... more

“A little pricey to boondock.”

Reviewed Jul 05, 2016

Overall Rating

It's not a bad park, and boondocking the area down by the river is actually pretty nice, nice shade. But they have a lot of mosquitoes.

The reduced rate is for Wyoming residents only. Any out-of-state residents are $17 per night to boondock. Three bars on Verizon without a booster. Dump station and water available.

“A great Campground - close to Cody WY and Yellowstone NP”

Reviewed Jan 09, 2016

This was our first state park experience and we loved it! The site we had was level and had direct access to the waterfront. Our dog was in heaven! We could sit and watch the activity on the water or head into Cody to soak up some Western History. Also did a day ride on the motorbike over Beartooth Pass to Red Lodge. Spectacular r... more

“Beautiful Views, Some Sites Unlevel”

Reviewed Aug 14, 2015

Overall Rating

We really liked this campground and would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the road noise, many un-level sites and cloudy city water. We were on the edge of being un-level in site #6. Any rigs bigger than us would have had a problem in our site. We were in the reservation loop, which also happens to be the loop with partial h... more

“Scenic and Convenient for Cody. ”

Reviewed Jul 09, 2015

Overall Rating

This is a scenic campground, just about 8 miles from Cody, WY. Many of the sites in the North Shore campground are right along the water, we launched our kayaks right from the site. We drove through North Fork campground which is also lovely, but is more of a meadow setting. Good for young families who want to run around, but not wit... more

“Beautiful Lake front camping in Cody, WY”

Reviewed Sep 21, 2014

Overall Rating

We stayed in a waterfront dry camping site in the third loop (furthest from the entrance). The campground is beautiful and most sites have a view of Buffalo Bill Lake, as well as the surrounding mountains. The sites are spaced out well, pretty level, and most can accommodate larger rigs. We felt like we had our own private beach, as... more
