There was water and electric at our site as well as a picnic table, grill, and fire pit. The bathroom is old but has 4 stalls and 4 showers. We had hot showers every night. The bathroom was cleaned everyday! We went in May and this campground was almost empty which surprised me. I took pictures of most of the sites (which I posted). Most sites are back-ins but there were a few pull-throughs. The chiggers are bad here so protect yourself accordingly. The camp host (Randy) was very nice. We had good cell phone coverage with T-Mobile 4 bars 5G service.

We are here off season so there is only one other site occupied. Each site has a concrete pad and all sites have W/E but only 31-48 have sewer. Some sites are tree covered and some are mostly to all sun.
Only 1 public restroom is open and it’s clean but smells a little musty.
The water at our site has what I consider a big leak but the park ranger wasn’t concerned. Our site only required front to back leveling and it wasn’t much. It’s definitely long enough for our 40’ fifth wheel and truck.
There is a little convenience store a few miles away and a town about 30 minutes away where there is a tractor supply to get propane & several grocery stores.
HermitLife would stay here again

This is a really pretty campground and we really liked it the first night we were there. However, the next day the weekend crowd rolled in and the campground was filled with boats, kids, bikes, and Confederate flags (even at the host's campsite). We didn't realize that it was the "Thunder on the Water" festival and a Crappie fishing tournament that weekend. Not sure of the camp host responsibilities but we didn't have to prove we had reservations, the gates were not closed at night, the quiet hours were not observed, and the restrooms were never cleaned. Also, we ended up with a bad case of chigger bites. Too bad, it's a pretty place. We don't plan on returning here again.
