“Horrible smell”
Reviewed 10/14/2020
There is some kind of an animal operation a short distance from this park and the smell was awful, so much so we did not stay.
Very small campground with several very old, moldy campers who appear to be permanent residents.

We like this location due to the quiet lake setting and more rustic experience. The lake is small and manageable, just perfect for recreational kayaking. Bathrooms were clean. Sites aren't entirely level, but we managed. We would come here again.
Jkskon would stay here again

Like a number of ACE campgrounds I've visited this year, this one is leased to an outside group (see website). But clearly this campground was never improved the way most ACE campgrounds are. The staff who took my call were very nice but upon arriving I could immediately tell this is a CG with mostly full-time/seasonal trailers. Sites were dirt/grass/gravel and not level. My original site (20) was way too small for my class C and tow vehicle, besides the branches being way too low for comfort. They let me pick a better site. I needed a water fill but to get to the dump/fill station I had to drive through the park and into the dump area (adjacent to and left of the entry road) which due to an impossibly tight turn, you can't get back into the park! I had to go out and find a place to turn around which was yet another adventure. All that aside, it was a nice setting right on the water, pretty colors and
peaceful. It's not worth going out of your way for but okay if you're in the area. A bit pricey for what you get. 1 bar unbosted, 4 bars with booster. Speed was fine.
As an afterthought, the dry camping sites (43-48) aren't shaded but are possibly the
nicest spots in the CG.
