Lots of tree cover which is great for keeping the camper as cool as possible however as trees/birds/squirrels do makes for a bit of a mess on your roof and awnings. Our site was along a side road that goes back to a public pier so we did get some of that noise but you couldn’t see any of the traffic so it was not a biggie with a old growth barrier in between. Beach is right across the road, plus a small beach area in the opposite direction in the Tolomato River bank. Lots to see back there, even more so than the beach honestly. Though I had full cellular LTE bars the internet was very slow. Not the campgrounds fault of course just didn’t make sense. We were near one of their WiFi hotspots and connected our Winegard. It helped some. Still here as I write this but I think it’s safe to say our stay here is good.

Met good friends here to camp in our new trailer for the first time after selling our house. Maybe it was the exhaustion from the move, but this place was truly magical and restorative. Each site is secluded in beautiful fan palms and local trees to give plenty of privacy and almost a sense of a pirate's cove. You can walk to one side of the park (across the highway) and be on the beach, or to the other side and be on the bay where there are beautiful restaurants with really delicious food. Watched the sunset on the bay and then the moon rise on the ocean in one night. Amazing. The sites are clean, level, and the campers are quiet. Being on vacation, I wasn't needing to rely on Wifi or cell service. That is good because there isn't Wifi, and the cell coverage through AT&T or Verizon was not good.
This really isn't a place you would come to work anyway.
Grab a blackened Mahi Sandwich at Aunt Kate's, with cheese grits and a key lime pie. Then, head over to the bay to watch the sunset as sailboats glide peacefully against the orange sky. Will definitely come back here again for a special trip.

We spent 5 nights here in early March and had a very relaxing time. Most campsites are surrounded by trees and nice vegetation giving the feeling of privacy. There was a lot of space between the campsites. Even though this campground has over 150 campsite, you never felt it was that big. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was especially nice to be able to walk across the main road and be on a beautiful beach that stretched for what seemed like miles. Internet service was very spotty. If you have to have internet, make sure you get a site next to one of the WIFI towers. Overall the campground was quiet and comfortable. Easy access for our 31 foot class C. Lot's of big pull through sites for big rigs.

We loved the private spacious sites with full hook ups. Dog friendly clean park with ample walking, Water/beach access within walking distance. The Reef restaurant (in walking distance) had excellent food. Friendly office staff too!

Overall we loved this campground.
Quick notes:
- all sand sites, lots of trees and shrubs for great privacy
- across the road from the beach
- pricey
- coded entry gate
Quick, easy check in. The campground has a coded entry gate and the whole place is sand. There are so many trees and shrubs that makes each site very private. Our site had plenty of room for us and as a family with 5 kids under 7, it was like having our own back yard which we loved! If you bring kids here, make sure you have sand toys. With an easy walk across the road you can get to a beautiful beach that is full of whole shells which made me believe it is not a very busy place and we loved it!
The campground is far enough from town that it’s quiet and not congested but close enough that everything is easily accessible. There is a publix right down the road, and a pizza joint called “Puccini’s pizza” that was delicious!
We will definitely come back here!

The word resort is a bit deceiving. It might have a pool and full hook ups but it is kind of shabby to be called resort.
Never the less, it’s a nice spot.
If you’re worried about connectivity-/like we are AT and T is weak. We had to boost to be able to work. And even then it was slow.
Dog lovers, there is a dog park less than 1 mile away. We did not find on GPS but tss as lied to locals. Take main road A1 to Gardner and make right. It’s down that road near tennis courts.

The tree covered campground is perfect for summer camping in the Florida heat. It was colder when we stayed.
A couple downsides to our stay. 1. They were dredging the beach so couldn’t enjoy at the campsite (I think they should advise people for the price) 2. A bit overpriced 3. WiFi was non existent. They say they have 4 extenders but we purposefully picked the spot closest to the office to pick up internet and did not work. We have a cell booster and cell service was just about non existent as well. This could be a good getaway. We had to work and was very problematic.

Bring bug spray, and a outdoor rug since camp spots are not on concrete, just sand.

The sites are pretty well protected from wind off of the ocean. Roads and sites are sand. Site 98 was near the front is very well shaded, a great pull-through. Two restaurants within waking distance, one next door bayside and one across A1A, oceanfront. The Reef restaurant, across A1A, was very nice, we did not eat at the other one on the bayside. The ocean is across A1A from the campground, however, there is significant beach erosion so there is very little beach. The facilities are OK but a bit dated. On a value basis, this is not the best. The campground has an extensive list of rules that do not appear to be enforced. We had significant noise from nearby campers until nearly 1am one night, the office was closed, no one to contact. There was little to no cell service or WiFi access.
