The website says the main campground sites are tentable but I'm having a hard time seeing where you would put a tent ...

They are level paved back in sites. Electric only at campsites, potable water scattered throughout and at dump station. Two bathhouses but one was closed. If you are from out of state you have to pay an additional $14 a day for your vehicle

Pads are all paved and pretty level, minor adjustments would be needed in some but none where we were. All the spots are very shady and fairly good sized. They were starting to winterize so not all facilities were open but still had shower and rest room availability as well as black flush. Was told all water shuts down on the 15th. Will be returning next season. Great experience.

We reserved a site but when we arrived they were doing utility construction right across from us, so the host were helpful in moving us to a walk in site. Electric only at site, fresh water at the dump station. Sites are paved and level. There is a pay bath house which we did not use and laundry facilities. In the park there are numerous picnic shelters, hiking trails and a pool! Other than some road and construction noise it was perfect. Our cost includes the $12 / day use fee.

I have visited this park many times but have never camped here before. The sites are spacious with lots of shade which helped during the really hot weather. It was probably 2/3rds full but was very quiet. The bathhouse was in good shape. The view from the top of the park behind the lodge is spectacular. We can’t wait to camp here ... more

Close to a quiet highway that you cannot even hear. Great access to trails, lookouts, playground and shower houses. Site are 20 & 50 Amp services with also some tent non-powered sites. Would highly recommend a stay here.

As luck would have it, we missed our turn and were turning around in the state park and decided to explore further as there were lots of available sites mid October.
The park has lots of history and some hiking trails and tent sites as well as beautiful views of the river especially from the cabins. It looks like trail rides with horses are offered in the summer.
The showers and bathrooms were closed by this time, but the dump station was still open and the water was on.
The sites are well spaced for a campground. Site 62 was long enough for us to stay hooked up to our 25 foot trailer AND park our Jeep in front. The handicapped sites looked very nice with a concrete slab. 62 is not handicapped, fyi.
There was an impressive playground in the middle of the campground that was a real hit with some of the campers.
There is some highway noise, but nothing that earplugs can’t overcome. Also, the town is quite small so be sure to bring all your supplies with you. The campground office sells ice and firewood.
Verizon was wicked fast.

Long fifth wheeled campers fit in handicapped sites no problem. Anything longer than 24 ft camper will have to unhook at back in sites. Sites are 30/50 amp hook up. Have good LTE coverage. T-mobile and sprint. Good spacing between sites. Very well done campground. Very clean bathrooms and shower. Only 2 shower stalls, other bathroom shower facility was closed.
