RV Parks in New Jersey

From the stunning coastline to the bustling city of Newark, there's something for everyone in New Jersey. Here are just a few highlights that await visitors to the Garden State.

For history buffs, New Jersey is home to some of the most iconic historical sites in the U.S. The state was one of the original 13 colonies and played a pivotal role in the American Revolution. Visitors can explore this rich history at Liberty State Park, Ellis Island, and the Old Barracks Museum.

New Jersey also offers a wealth of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. The state is home to 31 state parks, which allow visitors to hike, bike, camp, and more. Some popular parks include the High Point State Park, the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, and Cape May Point State Park.

And, of course, no visit to New Jersey would be complete without spending some time at the beach. The state's coastline stretches for more than 130 miles, and there are countless beaches to explore. So if you're looking to relax on the sand or catch some waves, you've come to the right place.

If you're looking for an RV park to stay in while exploring New Jersey, you'll have plenty of options. The campgrounds in New Jersey offer everything from basic amenities to full-service resorts.

Jersey City Camping

One of the most popular RV parks in New Jersey is the Liberty Harbor RV Park in Jersey City. It's the closest RV park to Manhattan, with fantastic views of the city, and it's a short ferry ride away from all of New York City's excitement.

"Exceeded our 'parking lot' expectations in many ways," says Campendium reviewer AltG. "Security 24/7, friendly guards, clean bathrooms and showers, and very close to an area with tons of solid restaurants. You can see the Statue of Liberty from the park, which is cool."

West Creek Camping

Sea Pirate Campground is a family-friendly RV park in West Creek, New Jersey. Accommodations include RV sites, tent sites, and cabins. The campground also features a playground, heated pool, and planned activities. "This is a great campground with a nice pool and good proximity to LBI. We'll can't wait to go back!" says Campendium reviewer Matt.

Williamstown Camping

Hospitality Creek Campground in Williamstown offers a variety of amenities, including a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and a playground. In addition, Hospitality Creek Campground is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along for the trip. "We were able to get a waterfront site and it was breathtaking! Our son enjoyed the 'playground on water' very much," says Campendium reviewer Amanda.

Cream Ridge Camping

In Cream Ridge, Timberland Lake Campground is an option for those looking for camping near Six Flags Great Adventure. "Sites were fairly small and packed in close to one another, but there were at least a few trees between each of them to serve as a divider," according to Campendium reviewer MacRodge.

Northern New Jersey Camping

Kymer's Camping Resort in northern New Jersey offers RV sites with picnic tables and a large swimming pool. "Good sites. Some are rather tight to fit into at times. Fairly hilly but most roadways are paved," according to Campendium reviewer Scottydoesntknow.

Blairstown Camping

Triplebrook Campground in Blairstown is a family-friendly RV park that offers cabins, tent sites, and RV sites. The campground features a playground, swimming pool, and planned activities. Reviewer Jon gave Triplebrook five stars and said, "Wonderful people work here. Willing to accommodate our requests in any way. Beautiful grounds and amenities very well kept. Our go-to campground close to home."

Atlantic City Camping

Atlantic Shores Pines Campground is 30 minutes north of Atlantic City in Tuckerton, New Jersey. In addition to water and electric hookups, this RV campground has a game room and a campground store. "Very good campground—good sized sites, well-maintained hookups, clean grounds, friendly staff, well-stocked camp store," says reviewer Jim G.

Southern New Jersey Camping

If you're looking for an unforgettable family vacation, look no further than Ocean View Resort Campground in Ocean View, New Jersey. This campground offers pull-through sites and picnic tables. Amenities also include a swimming pool and mini golf.

Avalon Campground in Clermont is another option for camping near the Jersey Shore. This campground offers spacious campsites with water and electric hookups, a swimming pool, and a camp store.

There are plenty of campgrounds in New Jersey to choose from, whether you're looking for a basic campsite or a full-service RV resort. Campgrounds in the Garden State offer everything from swimming pools and mini golf to pet-friendly accommodations and views of the Statue of Liberty. So whatever your needs, there's a campground in New Jersey that's perfect for you.

"So Close To The City Love It"

We stayed 3 nights and it was so nice! We could see the Statue of Liberty in the distance from our site. Tight parking areas but easy to get into. We had power and water and the dump is easy to get to in the back corner. Security is at the gate all night so we felt very safe. We did have our dog and there is not much grass. You have to walk just...

"Horrible service. Decent campground"

We recently stayed at this campground. The campground itself is nice, but the owner is horrible and not worth dealing with. She is constantly looking for a reason to complain. There were many occasions of her scolding children or other campers. She yelled at my son for gathering sticks along the road to use in our fire, stating that we can't be...

We stayed a week here and it was awesome!!! Lots of sand so if there’s a storm get all your outside stuff up beforehand. We were right by the pool. Great laundry facilities. We will definitely return.

"Clean Facilities, Nice pool"

Nice place to stay for a few weeks. Near ocean city New Jersey. Full hookups, decent size sites. That being said it’s pretty tight driving your rig through there. Narrow streets with lots of trees. Price goes up $20 a night after July 1st for the season. Most people seem to live there or have their vacation home there

"Best In The Area"

2024 Overnight and weekly camping rates: Water, and electric hookups only. They do have a dump station. Week is overnight x 7. Overnight prices were for my wife and I in our trailer pulled by a pickup; $30 / person + 4% processing fee per night = $62.40 / night. 16 yrs old and up are charged adult rates. Do the math if you are a family of...
