“Quiet, clean and wooded campground ”

Reviewed Jul 14, 2018

Overall Rating

It was quiet and the restrooms/showers are are very clean. There are several trails, and also a small lake where you can rent canoes or kayaks. No power, water or sewer hookups but there is a dump station. There are several places to access water. There are shelters if you do not have a tent and also tent sites. There are more shelter and tent sites than rv sites.

“Quiet mid-week with great hiking and paddling.”

Reviewed Oct 14, 2015

Overall Rating

Pre-checked in -- host was very helpful with directions and suggestions. We were there after school began so there were not too many campers. This park is less popular with those who have motorboats and jet skis since Osmore Pond is paddling only -- which makes it great.

Online site is fairly restrictive as to size limits - give the host a call if you are running into problems since they often can ignore those restrictions and get you in a site, which will have plenty of room, that fits your rig.

There is no ATT coverage nor camp wifi. I suspect that Verizon is also limited. There is a good number of volunteers who keep the grass mowed and the place spotless. Rent a kayak or canoe if you are without one and give Osmore Pond a try -- it's quintessential Vermont.

There are no hookups but a number of places to get fresh water -- and a dump station. Showers for 50 cents are fine and the facilities are kept spotless.

If you like quiet camping where you can read, hike, cycle, and paddle this could be a good spot. You can use your pass to visit Boulder Beach for swimming or to check out the many other state parks close by. Weekends get crazy in the summer so make sure to make reservations well in advance.
