Stayed three nights. Sites are close together, but it’s also quiet. The park is very strict about no noise after 10 PM. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Will return again.

Nice, big, well-maintained campground. Sites are a decent size with fire pit and picnic table. Trees on each site but sites are pretty close and the trees do not provide any privacy. Nice trail to beach. Bathrooms, showers very clean, full hookups and dump station available. Pet friendly and quiet.
Would stay again when needing a place with hook ups and connectivity. Not a place to camp if looking for site privacy.
Verizon worked well, Starlink worked pretty well too.

i stayed here over memorial day weekend so everyone and their mom was camping here. the sites are a bit close together which coupled with the fact it was a holiday weekend made it feel a bit crowded. despite that it is an excellent campground! all the sites have full hookups which even as a non rv camper is still nice. the rangers at the check in both were nice and helpful. the bathrooms were clean and the showers were HOT and FREE! there is convenient beach access though it does require walking up a sand dune then down a sand dune which is a bit unpleasant. the walk isn’t long but the sand is deep and difficult to walk up hill on. the beach itself is gorgeous and perfect for walking on. i would absolutely stay here again.

This is a great park with clean facilities and easy access to the ocean. Sites were well maintained. Nice amenity was the sink water disposal drain through out the park.

And, yes, the sites are packed very tightly in this space. Pour a little olive oil and sprinkle a little salt to call us sardines. Yet, it's a peaceful campground with friendly, helpful folks everywhere to be found. Plus unlike some expensive RV resorts, this place has T-Mobile 5G coverage. My only regret in booking this state park is that I'm not staying here longer. I plan to be here a week next year.

We have bookmarked this State Park as a place to visit again! We stayed for a week on site D24. It was a short walk to the beach path entrance from our site, but the path itself is quite a hill and much further than anticipated. Even though it was warm outside, the wind on the beach was extreme so we didn’t get to stay long and we both wished we had brought jackets. I agree with other reviewers that these sites are too close and when it’s full, it’s overflowing but we still enjoyed our time here. Both AT&T and Verizon were really good with an antenna. The town of Manzanita was a great place to grab a bite to eat and do some exploring. The only surprise was the dump station - the hole was pitched at an angle and it was difficult to keep the hose from coming out.

The state park itself is very nice- boat ramp, rental horses available, close to the beach (over some dunes). The campground has clean showers with hot water, which are conveniently located in the center of loops. We spent 3 nights in A37 across from yurts and enjoyed the spot & the sound of the ocean waves. The only down side is that the sites are very close, with very little privacy. If a large group had been next to us, it could have been bad.
We happily found hikes (via AllTrails) and they were lovely, easy treks through forest to the ocean.
Also, as others have said, the fish & chips at Riverside in Nehalem is wonderful.
