The bathrooms were clean and heated. It was super quiet for it being a holiday weekend. We geocached and played frisbee golf. The water was to low to fish or take the boat out.
The roads were VERY rough on way to campground. Our camper was in shambles when we finally got to our spot.
No cell service whatsoever.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #35, an E/W, BI site for $16/night. Roads and sites were asphalt with a concrete pad for under the rig. The campground was easy to navigate. The site was a little hard to back into. It was fairly open to the sky but may have a little bit of shade when the trees leaf out. The site was relatively flat, but I needed one board to get level. Sites were nicely spaced out and the park was very quiet. There was only a handful of people there. The bathhouse was a little bit of a walk from my site. It was older, but clean. I didn’t use the showers. There was one washer and one dryer. I didn’t have much connectivity – 0-1 bar LTE with Verizon, no wifi, and a smattering of OTA channels. If there was any kind of weather all signals were compromised and calls were dropped. NOTE: I would recommend using the US-61 route to access Park Road. It is much shorter and less curvy than entering off US-84. They were resurfacing Park Road while I was there so it will be great when they are done. Take it easy on Whycliff Rd, there are a couple of bad spots. Easy access to Natchez and the Natchez Trace. I’d stay here again if I was in the area.

I did not use the bathrooms, but hubby said the men's handicapped shower head was broken, leaving just one stall for the tent and trailer campers. The washer and dryer were also out of order. We didn't have any issues with our hook ups (electric/water), and our site was a pull-through.

However, the reviews we read about a detour did NOT prepare us for how bad the detour roads are and how much they take you out of your way. We arrived from 61 and left in the other direction. Both ways are awful. Narrow roads that are often unpaved. Low hanging limbs threaten your RV. We saw branches and limbs lying in the road untouched for 2 days. Some places have deep ditches on either side of the bad roads. I read that construction was to be completed in April 2022. It’s almost July and they have a long way to go. In fact, we never saw them working. Once they repair the State Park Road, this could be a nice place to camp.

This is an OK park in the trees, nothing to special. The main park road is in construction, the back road in is terrible The park called me the day before with the directions in. I was in campground B and had very spotty cell service, might be better at the very top, but still not great.

Two ways in both on Tate road because the front entrance road is being repaired until April 2022. I tried both, from 84 it’s about 5.5 miles on a twisting up and down gravel road, no signage. From 61 it’s 6.6 miles to the campground on a twisty pothole filled road.
It’s a nice forested campground with not a lot of campers in the 4 days I was there avg only 5-7 filled campsites. The ranger said this was typical for time of year, because of the heat. We used it as a base camp to explore surrounding area, once you make it to HWY 61. 15 minutes to downtown Natchez, 5 minutes mile marker 10 on Natchez Trace, 1 hour to Vicksburg National
Park. 30/50 & water dump station. Premium sites have sewer but cost $32 a night. 2 pull through sites in campground B

We stayed in campground B. This is a very shady campground with mostly level pads. Water and 30/50 amp electric is offered but no sewer. We took a ride through campground A and wasn’t impressed. Sites 1-6 had full hookups but the view was bad. None of the sites have a clear view of the lake. We enjoyed our time here but probably wouldn’t return until the road situation is fixed which doesn’t appear to be anytime soon.
