At a boat landing on the Yellowstone River. The sites are set back from the river by a small ridge. A platform of crushed rock hosts 3 picnic tables and 3 metal fire pits. Vault toilets are a quarter mile away at the point the access road leaves the highway. The terrain is a flood plain of cottonwood trees.
During our stay several parties drove by to the boat launch ramp.
Light traffic on the highway can be heard. The BNSF railroad serenades one with train horns but the tracks are a mile away.
