“Wonderful personnel and clean but very unlevel sites”

Betty is the sweetest person to help you get into your site. But wow how unlevel every site is. Really hard to find a site level.

Clean and very long cords needed

We were here for over a week in June 2017 and we had a wonderful stay. However, there are some cons to this place that a lot of other reviewers have mentioned. Tip: If you're booking for a week, call them instead of using Reserve America. They will offer a weekly rate of $147.50 total if you ask for a weekly discount, which Reserve ... more

“OK If You Are Here for the Bourbon”

Willett, Barton 1792, Makers, Heaven Hill, Jim Beam and Four Roses are all close by. It was heavily treed which made for nice shade on hot days. It was re... more

Our site at My Old Kentucky Home State Park was pretty level compared to many of our neighbors. Some neighboring motorhomes had to raise their jacks so high that their wheels were off the ground. The water and power for our site was about 30 feet away, so we had to add an extension to both in order to reach it. The power pole is sha... more

Date of stay: August 2014 I don't drink Bourbon, but My Old Kentucky Home State Park is in the heart of Bourbon country. I was just looking for a place to stay for a night. It was fine for that. :) I also don't golf, but this park (very small) is right at a golf course. That is OK for one night, but since there isn't anything els... more

“An okay state park campground in the heart of Kentucky Bourbon country”

Reviewed Nov 01, 2014

This state park campground has a lot of pros and cons. It really depends on what kind of camper you are and what you are looking for in a campground, as to whether or not you will enjoy staying here. The Pros: - Location: The campground is right in the epicenter of the Kentucky Bourbon trail, so if you love Jim Beam, Makers Mark, ... more
