The sites in the center are so far from being level it was almost comical. Yes, water spigots are far, yes the asphalt needs to be re-done - giant potholes coming in and two massive trees had damage due to a windy thunderstorm when we were there. Many of the sites are very short and definitely too close to the neighboring site. We knew we weren't picking this place for the campground, but for a good place to base from to explore Bardstown (good brewery there!), Bernheim Arboretum, Louisville & surrounding distilleries. The laundrymat in town was lousy - dirty, tiny washers, the dryers just kept wanting quarters but I used it anyway.

We learned how to use our leveling system in manual mode and got set up. Site 22's utilities are in a good location and the site if very large. Lots of Tulip trees and birds. And, as I said, a great location to explore Bardstown, the Bourbon Trail, and close to Lincoln's birthplace and several museums.

We stayed at site 10 for 2 nights. While the site was pretty level, the electric hookup was too far from the site and required a 50ft extension cord. We stayed at site 17. I would not recommend this site as your utilities have to run through the front of your site to get to the hook ups. My parents stayed in 18 which was a much nicer setup. Overall the place did the trick but it’s not great. Needs a good cleaning in the bathrooms.

MOKH is really just a tired, old campground. Sites are fairly close together, especially on the inside of the loop. Shared electric and water hookups, some being a fair distance away, so bring a 50 ft hose and or electric depending on your site. Many sites are not level, and/or very short. That’s not an issue for us as we have a teardrop, but larger rigs will have difficulty in many sites. Bathrooms are ancient, but clean. When turning the hot water on/off on one of the sinks in the men’s room, the handle was very stiff and the sink loose in the counter, so the whole basin would move when turning the handle.
That being said, if you’re in the area for attractions such as downtown Bardstown, bourbon tours, the dinner train, the KY Railway Museum or the Lincoln Trail you can’t beat the convenience.

The electric and water access for our site were on the wrong side and far enough away that I needed to make a quick Walmart run to by a couple of hoses and a 30-amp extension cord.

Overall this campground needs some improvements but the location is wonderful for distillery hopping! Bring extensions for electric and water connectors! Bring three packs of leveling blocks! However the setting is beautiful right next to the golf course!

Ok location for a good nights rest after visiting the distilleries. The sites are not very level. We stayed in 26 which was supposed to be a pull through. There was only gravel put alongside of the road, so you could pull off and park parallel to the road vs backing in. It would be impossible to level if you pulled alongside the road and the small road would likely be impassible (it is super tight already with big trees everywhere). There is electric and water. I guess due to no sewer that folks just dump in the back of their campsite as ours smelled pretty bad. Not much room to go out of a walk. Note - when driving to the campground, pull in like you are going to golf... the campground is behind the golf parking lot. We did not visit the bath house. ATT cell service was good enough to stream.

Our site, #22, worked for us. We did see that some sites had funky and inconvenient water and electric hookups. But the website is good on that, look closely. The park was pretty empty and there wasn’t much presence of a camp host, even though one appeared to be there. And our fire pit had a bunch of trash and glass in it (why are we seeing that so often these days?!?). We would stay here again if in the area.
