“Absolutely wonderful, quiet, clean, pretty campground ”

Reviewed Dec 23, 2017

Overall Rating

First off, all camper spots have electricity so NO generator noise!!!!! Really quiet. Yay! Vault toilets and water spigots throughout the campground; flush toilets, showers and laundry facilities at a central location. Campground sports a Playground, an outdoor amphitheater, a paved main road, numerous hiking trails, and level gravel... more

“Views, Wildlife, Beautiful Campsites--This Place has it All”

Reviewed Aug 19, 2017

Overall Rating

Verdant forest, granite peaks, and peaceful meadows fill Mueller State Park, making this one of the most beautiful places we have ever camped. Wildlife came right through our site, including a red fox and several mule deer. With super cheap campsites and 50 miles of trails, this park will definitely draw us back again and again. Th... more

“Great time at a truely beautiful State Park”

Reviewed Jun 10, 2017

Overall Rating

We have camped here numerous times. This time was over Memorial Day, 2017. Meuller is the Crown jewel of Colorado's State Parks for us. It represents what the Colorado Rocky Mountains is all about. The vistas are tremendous. You can see all the way to the Sangre De Christo and the San Juan mountain ranges. Numerous trails for hik... more

“Nice but no dogs on trails.”

Reviewed Mar 10, 2016

Overall Rating

This is a beautiful Colorado state campground with miles of hiking trails, none of which allow you to bring your dogs on them. We camped in the winter time so the dump station and water was shut off, but they had electric hookups and it was peaceful and beautiful. Situated in a great spot for forest service access hiking, biking, etc.... more

“High altitude camping”

Reviewed Jun 27, 2015

Overall Rating

First you are camping at approximately 9,300 feet and I had a family member experience altitude sickness also. But the campground is big and beautiful, with most (all) sites having privacy via trees. There are back in and pull thru sites. I experienced different cell service at each site, site 13 had good Verizon service (2 bars L... more

“Fantastic!”

Reviewed May 14, 2015

Overall Rating

This is an excellently maintained state park. Restroom was new. Bathhouse and laundry area were clean. My husband and daughter attended a couple ranger lead programs and enjoyed the visitor center. Unfortunately, our 9 year old had a rough time with altitude sickness as we had made a quick trip across the Midwest from Virginia and stra... more
