Overall Rating

This hidden gem is well worth the extra mileage south of Grand Junction. The drive through the Colorado Monument Park is stunning. The directions were easy to follow. The sites were clean, spaced and very few in use when I was there. The campground is in a grove of Aspen trees which were especially beautiful during the changing colors of the Fall season. The gently noise the "quakies" make in the breeze are so relaxing. We had a gentle rain all night but a beautiful foggy morning sunrise. I definitely will seek out this site again when I can stay longer.
