Great home-away-from-home base with access to Lassen and all the great outdoor activities the area provides. Amazingly reliable WiFi, and super clean facilities, managed by a great and considerate staff. My only real complaint is the lack of bear boxes for the garbage leads to conditioning of wildlife (and a morning mess)

We used this campground to access Lassen and Burney Falls. Everything from the staff to the facility was top notch. Definitely will be using it again

Beautiful, clean campground only 20 minutes from Lassen Volcanic National Park. Friendly folks. So peaceful. Sites are nestled in a pine grove. Great WiFi.

Our third stop here now.
A short drive to lassen. Family friendly campground. Decent spacing with full hook ups. Nice dog park. Friendly staff. No fires when we visited were allowed but pool was open.

Spent 3 nights at this location. Spots are a bit close but plenty of privacy with the trees. Speaking of trees there are plenty, we hung up hammocks and maybe took a nap or two. No luck in using satellite TV, there just wasn’t a clear view to the sky. Many of things to keep you busy at this campground. Pool, ping pong, basketball, really cool tree swings. 4 stars only because of the pathetic WiFi. They actually say their Wifi is terrible in their handout materials. The lack of WiFi is a bummer because both AT&T and Verizon cell coverage is nearly nonexistent. Ending on a positive, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Long story short: this area has a massive amount of camping options, for both tents and RVs, but especially a ton of tent camping in this area.
PG&E land and public lands all around have campgrounds to explore that are much better than this KOA.
Plan to do your big shopping in Redding, or Susanville.

All the sites are nestled amongst trees. There's a huge forest walking area with all sorts of recreational activities (horseshoes, volleyball, disk golf, mountain bike trails, basketball, etc.). Close to Mt Lassen NP. The only (& I mean ONLY) negative is marginal Wi-Fi. We WILL stay here again.

While close to highway 44, you don't hear traffic at all. The sites are also very spacious and easy to access! Great jump off point for the central section (Manzanita Lake, Lassen Peak) of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Shingletown is close by and has gas and a Dollar Store, more like a small Target. This KOA has a ton of amenities such as a pool, frisbee gold, playground, hot clean showers, and the ever popular laundry. The staff is very friendly and eager to help you out!

WiFi is called “limited” which it definitely is. Some days we’d get a little throughput for a few minutes and could check email. Other days, not so much. Forget out posting photos to social media and be sure you download any videos you want to watch before you get here!
Verizon had a single bar, good for voice but no data. Cell booster bumped that to 3 bars with a yagi antenna (max gain) but data was still not present.
Staff was very friendly. Park is small and other than a few perimeter sites you are really going to get to know your neighbors’ every move.
Convenient to the National Park.
