Large Thousand Trails park. Spacious, level lot with full shade. Great location to visit Mt Hood, Portland and the Columbia River waterfalls. Restrooms and shower were well maintained.

You can receive packages at this resort from like Amazon but ,and this is a big BUT, Unless you know for sure, assume they are sending the package by USPS..
YOU MUST ADDRESS THEM TO:: YOUR NAME, GENERAL DELIVERY, WELCHES OR 97067-9999...
If it come UPS or FEDex they will bring to your site with location and site number.. According to USPS personal in Welches 99% of amazon packages come to them so figure it will need to be addressed to GENERAL DELIVERY.. The amazon truck delivery at 5:30 in the morning.. so you can pick up package when the PO opens at 9 am
PO address: 24407 E WELCHES RD
WELCHES, OR 97067-7067
PO is just down Hwy 26 to right, at the stop light turn right.. small beige building with flag out front..
the area is neat for sure.. a little slow now between seasons but snow on the mountains and more to come it will pick up..
ATT and Verizon are better with tmobile ok.. we have our weboost up and that helps with service.
one site to avoid is vine maple 49. We were in VM 12 in 2020 and it was better.. level and less lights around..
RECYCLING.. drop off..
There is a place towards Sandy on the right past Shortys gas station.. it's right around MM 25 so when you see the green Recycle sign SLOW down.. it the next right look for the big sign.. they are only open THUR thru MON 9-5pm.. when you get to scales just say you are doing recycling and it no charge. The also do oil if you have any from a recent change which was a big help for me.
If you are a skier this is a the place to be.. Government Camp pass is like 15 miles with Timberline Lodge and Mt Hood Meadows within 10 or so mins.. Getting up to TL is a bigger deal.. MTM is easier but a bit further and you need to head up Hwy 35 to access them. Both offer superior ski conditions for sure..

We do have a Thousand Trails Annual Camping Pass Membership which allows us to stay free at some Thousand Trails campgrounds. This is one of them. Check-in was quick and easy. The site we had was a good size and was only slightly unlevel.
As someone else mentioned, I agree that some areas could use some tree trimming. It worked for our needs (which were to hike in the area).
We used the laundromat, which was clean and nearly all machines were working - what more can you ask! $2.25-$2.50/load wash and $2.00 to dry. There are full-time residents here (like most TT campgrounds) and the areas seemed well-kept.
We'd come again.

-Can’t even bother to pave the lots
-NOT WFH friendly. We have the Starlink and had such a horrible spot we could not get the dish to connect. Yes we are in a forest!! But this spot sucks. We’ve been in plenty of forest areas and been able to connect fine.
-SO SLANTED it was dangerous. Literally doors hitting me in faces. A solid 3-4 feet slant. REALLY?! Got the worst sleep of my life.
-If you are a family wanting a boujee forest vacation with a cute RV this isn’t a bad spot but I would be sure to request a safe spot that isn’t horribly slanted.

We got very lucky and booked a weekend here super last minute. The streets are wide so it’s nice to walk the dog or ride bikes. We found a trail to the river and took a little dip. The water is COLD but it was hot out so it felt amazing. The little breakfast place has a very spicy Bloody Mary, not for the weak. Lol

The whole place was in disrepair. About half of the washers at the laundromat were broken. Trash and litter everywhere. It looks like it used to be a really nice place but not now.

Close to great hikes
Now the cons
Our bathroom had cold water only
(Not for me)
Floors in pool area and spa were filthy at least we had hot water
The whole row of sites was empty near us but somehow we had to look out our neighbors rear trailer, yes we should have gone to the office to move at least we power and water
I am giving 3 stars only for the hot tub because after a long hike I need it
