Nice campground with clean bathrooms and showers. Some sites are uneven. Good onsite dump station.
Gets very crowded on the weekends but super quiet during the week.
Campground is terraced which give good lake views at most sites. Some erosion noted at the gravel sites so the site border logs have shifted.
Would stay here again.

Pretty view of the lake and the temp was great for our dog & me. Ok walking the dog - saw several deer.

We stayed here in June 2021 for two nights to break up a long trip home to Virginia from Arkansas. The camping loops are pretty tight and maneuvering can be challenging. However, we saw lots of big rigs here. The spaces aren't large or private, but are arranged pretty well. Site D015 was easy to get into, fairly close to the water, and open on one side. In fact, it's one of the best sites in D loop. We aren't lake people, but it was a nice place to land for a couple of days. There are no hiking trails, but it's a big campground and you can find plenty of room to walk. The neighbors were fine and things were quiet enough despite being fairly full. Well-maintained and clean. Would stay here again if in the neighborhood.

Had to go wrong way on a one way road to allow slider to open towards our site and not be close to the road. There were nice sites right on the water but the bulk of them are dry camp only. Lake views are amazing. Check-out at 4:30 and Check-in at 5pm doesn't give staff time to attend to sites in between guests. Our site had trash left by the previous guest and fire pit/grill was full of debris. Views of lake and weather made up for the site’s negative points. Would come again and be more particular about site selection.

In keeping with most COE campgrounds, the sites were reasonably level, grounds reasonably maintained and bathrooms reasonably clean and the people relatively quiet. The nicest part was a good showerhead, excellent water pressure and hot, hot water on demand. It was a blessing.
On the down side, my husband said that the men's shower didn't have very hot water but was otherwise acceptable.
The campground is a little hard to get to, with narrow windy roads, but passable. It's right on the lake, which is probably important to a lot of people.

We arrived on Wednesday before Labor Day weekend. There was no park attendant at the gate so we proceeded to our site. The “pull through” site was actually a pull off site on the side of the campground road. If you follow the one way loop, your trailer door would be opening toward the street and your actual campsite is on the wrong side of the RV. Also, it’s not clear exactly where these sites start and end. A local informed us that everyone pulls in the other way (against the flow of one way traffic) and leaves the same way so that the campsite is on the correct side of your RV. Good info to have! However, this means you exit going the wrong way on rather narrow roads out of the campground. It was extremely busy starting Friday, which we expected, but it seemed a lot of people did not have good campground etiquette and cut across our site to go to the bath house. Probably OK for a stay during the week.

First COE experience! Amazing campsite. Overlooking the lake. The camping pad was gravel and was very long. Much more than what we needed for our Class B RT. 20/30/50 amp sme water hookup.

This is a large Corps of Engineer campground on Lake Nolin. The sites are large and level and spread out from the neighbors. The road to get here is a bit narrow and winding, lacking a shoulder like many roads in Kentucky, but many large motorhomes and 5th wheels were here. This is technically a reservation only campground, so you must check in with the host or call or book online for availability. The campground was about 10% full during the week in mid-September. $25 for electric and water. Dump stations available.
There are multiple playgrounds and shower houses. Good shower pressure, no strange smell but not particularly hot water. Bathrooms are clean. Many sites on the lakeshore, but most lakeside sites don't seem to have electric hookups.
Access to lake from campsites is often steep. Lake itself is pretty murky/mucky and might not make for great swimming and no great 'beach'. Very quiet and peaceful mid-week. Only complaints was the bugs (lots of flies, as well as yellow jackets and large European hornets) and long distance to trash.
About 40 minute drive to Mammoth Cave (be sure to avoid ferry route to park as it is currently closed). Decent, but slow streaming Verizon data on Jetpack with Mimo booster. Signs entering campground say "No alcoholic beverages allowed"
