Beautiful park 2 miles off the highway - Google Maps was spot on with the directions. The lots are spacious and nestled among the pines. The hosts are incredibly friendly and thankful for your visit. Guides escort you to your site pointing out speed bumps, trees and turns along the way. Our site had plenty of room to park the rig and disconnect the truck. We had a very large patio area next to a beautifully terraced rock wall with native plants and flowers. We will most certainly be back to stay again!

This place was great, that is all I can say. Well, maybe a few more things. When we arrived the folks in our campsite misread their reservations and thought they were there one more day. We waiting 6 hours for them to return, in that time they parked us in their overflow area where we had water and electric if we needed it. they kept checking on us all day until we got settled. They guide you to your spot and help you get parked. Friendly staff and great campers.
Behind us was a dog area and we saw lots of pooches playing and having fun. The park is clean and very well maintained. There was a play area for kids (we don't have any in tow...) and the feel was woodsy and secluded. Some of the sites are "super sites" so they are really big, but ours was just perfect. Campfires every night. Just a campers dream.
We made these reservations in January (6 months ahead), and this was the only site they had available for our dates, so, be warned, if you want to stay here, plan way ahead.
So much to do in the area and it is a way out of town, but that didn't bother us at all. It was a bit more pricey than we usually pay, but you get that back in surroundings.
One more thing, there is no cell service there, but their internet has wifi calling that enhances your phone. The internet was steps above what we typically find at RV parks. Just don't expect to stream a move.... we emailed, got onto webpages, texted, all without any difficulty.
Let me put in a plug for the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, even if you aren't a rodeo fan, this is a great place to go and super reasonable. One or our favorite spots while there.

Couldn’t ask for much more. It was very well taken care of and the staff were all extremely friendly. I definitely recommend ordering a pizza and having it delivered to your site from the pizza place on site, it was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay here. Many amenities were unavailable due to the pandemic but the park was very well maintained, sites are mostly spaced out well with a few exceptions. Quiet at night and stars galore in the night sky. While you can get Verizon LTE the signal is very, very weak. You may get 1 bar or 2 bars but the actual signal strength is weak. Do not rely on Verizon if you plan on working remotely here and need to join video calls. Even basic skype calls without video frequently dropped during our stay. So, while we were able to work, the experience was frequently frustrating. Basic cell phone calls also drop frequently or have periods of garbled sound. The park’s WIFI was hit and miss, but generally worked ok for very basic internet usage such as checking email and light web browsing.

If your looking for a secluded area in the mountains this is the place. It’s close enough to West Pueblo to get all your “legal” needs. And even closer to Colorado Springs to get all your hiking and scenery needs. They have pizza on site that they’ll deliver to your site. It’s no better or worse than any other delivery pizza. They have community events such as ice cream socials distancing and even a red white and blue waffle breakfast for the 4th. They have plenty of nice big sites not too close together we have a 37’ TT which 3 slides. We where able to put all of our slides out and still had plenty of room in the site to park next to our trailer. They where very accommodating, we had originally booked a pull through site but due to a tree we where unable to pull through. It was our first trip with our trailer and we had not back it in yet. They guided us perfectly into our site with no issue.
They have an awesome little trail up to the peak of the mountain behind the park that is filled with really cool minerals. Remember to apply sunscreen and bring a trekking pole to help on the loose path.
And check out the Coyote Coffee Den just down 115 towards West Pueblo. It is delicious and has great drinks.
All in all it’s a great spot to unplug and live in the moment.

The setting for this campground is beautiful, with plentiful pine trees, a mountain backdrop, and spacious sites. The staff are incredibly helpful, and are constantly working to keep the place immaculate, from freshly graded roads, level gravel sites, and impeccable restrooms and laundry. Wifi was an added bonus, and we were able to watch Netflix on a rainy night with the free Roku that they provided. The location is convenient to many of Colorado’s most popular attractions, and we enjoyed quite a few with only 30-45 minute drives. For those with dogs, you will enjoy the on-site dog park. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful retreat that’s not too far off the beaten path, this is the place for you!

We looked for a long time to find a campground in the Colorado Springs area that we would enjoy for a few days. Most of the reviews said they were very close to their neighbors. Not so here! We were in site #16 and it is spacious! In fact, we talked to David the owner and he has been taking out sites and enlarging sites for the past 18 years. As we walked around the campground, we noticed most of the sites are large! We were even greeted by several mule deer when we arrived into our site. Our site had full hookups, a level rock base, picnic table and a fire pit. There is complimentary WiFi which was ok, AT&T was only 1 bar (at most), so we had to use the WiFi calling feature to make/receive calls, there was no over-the-air TV stations, and our hotspot with a MiMo antenna gave us good signal strength for streaming. This is a perfect spot to explore Colorado Springs! We did get to Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs, but most everything else was closed due to Covid-19. We will definitely stay here again in the future. We used 3 nights of our 50% off Passport America % and 1 night of regular price ($57).
