Mountain Vista RV Park

We made phone reservations for a Friday night as we were staying in Sierra Vista for a festival. When we arrived (about 3 pm) there was a sign on the office stating that the office closed at 2pm on Friday and was closed on weekends with only a phone number and no ability to pay or get a space after hours. We left a message at the phone number but decided to find another place to stay. You can shower for $1.00 at “the Cove” (local indoor pool) so that worked out for us. No mention was made during the initial phone call that we needed to check in before 2pm. We had a great time at the Hummingbird Hoedown square Dance and headed home on Sunday. We got a phone call back on late Sunday afternoon from the park so you can draw your own conclusions about this place!

Its a bit of a neglected dump, and that might be generous. The water spigot was so corroded, we had to take off the pressure reducer to even thread our hose on. There are goat heads (pokey thorns) everywhere. At least it has full hookups. We only stayed here because we shipped our solar panels to a friend on the army base and needed a place close by to stay.
