“Disappointing”

This a campground that is located just of I-25 and next to a truck stop. It is listed as a Good Sam park, but it isn’t. They charge a flat rate of $40 and seem to have stopped being part of Good Sam.

As for the sites, there is not a tree. Long term renters are located on a flatter area at the top of the hill. The nightly sites are grated and on a slope. Nothing level. They do have pull thru sites with full hook ups. However, the hookups are so poorly laid out, there is no way you can make all your connections.

For example, we moved sites because the first one we tried, we couldn’t have both electric and water because of where they were placed. The site we moved to we could set up water and electric, but the sewer connection was under our trailer. The cable was bad. What few channels you could get, they were snowy and unwatchable. They also advertise wifi, but we could not keep a connection.

To top it off, there was truck noise at the truck stop all night. We ran our fan to give us white noise to drown out the rumbling.

They do have a newer laundromat which was in nice shape. The staff was responsive to our inquiries prior to arrival.

“Weird But It Works”

Admittedly the strangest lay out I've ever seen for an RV park. All sites are directly on 20st Avenue or Ponderosa Street. No office. Camp Hosts RV is cleary marked and they are available to check in and for assistance. Very clean and nice laundry/shower house on the corner.

Sites are surprisingly level with concrete pads under picnic tables. Pads are good, tables could use some maintenance. No trees, no view, no amenities besides the laundry/shower. But very quiet, especially since it's two blocks from Interstate 25.

We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again when in the area. Wheatland is a cute little town. Eat at Western Skys - everything we had was wonderful and the staff are delightful.

Park WiFi didn't work for us.
