Hey there! Hwy. 76 coming in from Clayton is lovely! It's twisty but nice to travel on, not too much of an elevation change throughout, beautiful views!! :) See you soon!

You got some good answers on this question. I just wanted to add that Mountain View Campground is the best campground I have ever stayed at. PJ and Louie are the best hosts and there is beautiful scenery and fun to be had with karoke and entertainment, ENJOY!! Drive carefully!

Nice road; mostly 2 lane with some up and down grades. We drove it to and from Mountain View towing our 28 foot trailer with our Chevy Silverado 1500 without issue.

We arrived at Mountain View Campground on Hwy 76 going West to East in our 38’ Tiffin Class A with tow vehicle and it was fine. Leaving the campground we took 76 East to Clayton and again no problems although it is mountainous and some turns until it flattens out closer to Clayton. Hence the name “Mountain View”. Safe travels, take your time and have fun.

Heading west from S.C. You will be driving over a mountain. It has some steep upgrades and downgrades as well as hairpin turns. The ride is beautiful but can be a white knuckler.

We were on 76 from its intersection with 75 (Unicoi Turnpike). That section was perfectly fine. We’ve never driven the section east of that intersection. We came up 75 from atlanta/helen which was a huge mistake. That road is super steep with very tight switchbacks

We had no issue with Roads but came from Florida, I use RV Life which takes in account RV Size. We were nervous but ended mainly big roads

Curvy, a bit slow but doable in our 36’ class A coach

Shouldn't have a problem! We come through Clayton Georgia headed west on 76. There's a few switchbacks but not bad at all. Enjoy life!

Have only traveled on 76 west out of Clayton. We drove it in a MH and we’re fine. It gets curvy but is totally doable.

We towed our trailer in from the west so I cannot help you answer that question. We did drive 76 all the way over to Clayton past Lake Burton a couple times but I was not hauling trailer when we did it. I dont remember it being too bad though. Sorry I could not give you a better answer.

Between Clayton and Hiawassee it's not too bad. There are some hills but they are short and manageable to me.

Typical mountain road. Not to bad. I had no problem pulling 37ft Reflection travel trailer.

I come from Blairsville, opposite direction, but 76 is a good road, mostly two way. I drive it in a 40 foot motorhome towing a jeep, no problem.
