I need a one night quiet campground. The staff was very pleasant, laundry, restroom, shower are together and VERY CLEAN and well lit. Shower got HOT water feeling good in December. In the morning talk to pleasant neighbors and biked around the airport looking at gliders. A pity last night was windy and cloudy making stargazing imposs... more
I need a one night quiet campground. The staff was very pleasant, laundry, restroom, shower are together and VERY CLEAN and well lit. Shower got HOT water feeling good in December. In the morning talk to pleasant neighbors and biked around the airport looking at gliders. A pity last night was windy and cloudy making stargazing impossible. Strongly recommend and will stay here.

Had been driving sun up to sun down, was about to commit to sleeping on a exit, decided to look to see if camps sites around. I was surprised to find this gem, staff was frendly,i wasnt the last, but probably the longest (rig is 36ft add on a tow dollie an pick up) tottal 56 ft, clean 50 amp (as per my surge protector) water bib was a little wonky for direction i was at. Very quiet, all in all very nice! I did not use any facilitys, however when i pulled on my space it looked reciently groomed. Well worth a look!!!

Found this hidden gem for an overnight stay while traveling through the area. An unusual set up, a glider airport, campground, and restaurant. It was very quiet, helpful staff, and clean. Found this hidden gem for an overnight stay while traveling through the area. An unusual set up, a glider airport, campground, and restaurant. It was very quiet, helpful staff, and clean. The restaurant food was great, and the only plane that took off was at 9:30 am and the only noise at night was a distant train. Access is easy from the interstate with gas and other food options close by. No noise from the highway and we were glad to find this location.

Close to the highway but far enough away so no road noise. Nice to have some shade trees. Weird the bathrooms are closed 10:30 pm- 7:30 am, they need a coded lock, no WiFi either.

Stayed at this park heading west and again on our way back home. Staff was friendly and sites are spacious. Airport is not a problem I didn’t hear any planes on either stay. Only downside to this park is that the laundry/showers/ bathrooms are closed from 10:30pm-7:30am. Will stay here again next year as we travel through the region.

Just passing through on hwy 58, got road weary and showed up with no reservation on 4-19-2023...Lots of vacancies. Just your typical rv park stay. At the time of our stay you could not use the bathroom/ shower house after 10:00 pm which seemed odd as there was a tent only section. No problem for us as we are self-contained in our small Tab trailer...It was quite cold in Tehachapi and we were glad for the electric/water hook-ups.
Out the next morning with our usual stop at our favorite "Kohnen's Country Bakery" in Tehachapi. Stocked up with pastries, etc for a whole week. Yum! Also had a good breakfast at the "Steampunk Cafe".
Would stay again.

Overall Rating
Stayed one night as we were heading to the Mojave Desert. Friendly staff, clean facilities, quiet area, good electrical supply and water. Had nice showers, and laundry available. View of mountains was a plus. Would definitely recommend this place.
