“Large spacious sites, if you don't have a boat there's not much to offer.”

Site E7 had a large concrete pad that required minimal side-to-side leveling. The site was large and even with my 30ft travel trailer we still fit 2 additional tents with no issues. We had a water supply directly in front of our site so that was nice. There appear to be several water supplies spaces throughout the campground, so even if you don't snag a full hook up you should be okay. The campground is huge and fills up quickly on the weekends with boaters. The camp store was above average and had anything you could need. Ice and firewood were priced high so I recommend getting it outside the park if possible. The shower houses were average at best, I'd stay clear of the vault toilets. The whole purpose of our stay was a family get-together and to hang out at a beach. Someone recommended Mound SRA so we gave it a shot. If your purpose for your stay is to be beachside all day, do not stay here. The beach was filthy, not only with trash but tons of goose poop. The beach at Mounds is also public so it is open to everyone, not just campground guests. It fills up very quickly and gets overcrowded easily. Brookville Lake is very nice, offering nice, warm, clear water, my only complaint was the quality of the beach/sand. The weekend prior we stayed at Quakertown SRA which is also on Brookville Lake. Quakertown is a much smaller campground but the beach is private and much cleaner. If you're looking for a good beach while camping, Quakertown is a better option. I would return to Mounds in the fall to enjoy the views and some of the hiking trails. The sites are large and level and overall the campground is well kept.

The campsite was nice and quiet during the day when all the campers left with their boats. Saw racoons.

Most sites are uneven. Public restroom that I used was clean, but not well cared for. The toilet didn't flush. There was no soap and the water didn't turn on at the faucet. Thankfully we had an RV that we used primarily. Boat rentals and beach were closed for the season and rain made hiking messy. Trails could have been better marked with road signs. The camp store is very nice and staff was helpful.

This is a nice campground, but be sure to bring enough leveling blocks the sits are mostly uneven. Most of the sites are large, the facilities are older but clean. I also noticed there seems to be a lot of tent camping here, don’t know why more here than most state campgrounds I’ve visited.

At this one in Indiana the state leases the property from ACE and it’s the worst we’ve seen. The bathrooms were disgusting, unclean and not maintained. The grass was mowed but the old cut grass was all over and made a huge mess. If the state is going to charge three times as much then it’s very sad that they can’t take pride in it.

In order to get out of a metro area, we came out to Brookville Lake during the coronavirus pandemic. The full hookup sites were not open but in the middle of our stay, they opened the dump station and turned on the water (not located at the sites but dispersed throughout the open loops). As with all parks at this time, no facilities are open but we didn't come for that. The sites are $16 per night with electric and water nearby. Great cell service so I can continue my online teaching business. It's fairly muddy in the loops that are open so be sure to bring appropriate footwear. Glad the campgrounds have remained open during this time!
