Where we were able to find a site, it was only available for tent campers who had to pack a tent down to the camping site. The fine print says that you need to be 500 feet from Hyalite Canyon Rd unless it’s a Designated Campsite. When we found a site 2 miles past the turnoff for Paradise Falls it had a sign saying no camping except for behind the sign which led to a table and fire ring down the hill. Technically, you could park the motor home in the parking spot but couldn’t “camp” in it. Get yourself an official map showing all the designated sites. The Campgrounds offer no space available. We wound up parking between two construction trailers in a trailhead parking site which was the only one not displaying any NO CAMPING signs. The next morning we met some Forest Service volunteers who informed us that we had to leave. NEED MORE CAMPSITES THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE BIG RIGS- As much as I hate to say, Walmart was our only option in the area as everything else was too small or full. Camping in a 43 ft motor home.
