This was the first time over the course of a few years that Campendium lead me to the wrong place and I ended up in the middle of the forest. After being lost for an hour on narrow dirt roads and having to cut a few low branches, I ended back on the main road with enough cell service to Google the correct location. It comes up on Google Maps as "Brookfield Trail Main Assembly / Parking". The camping area is right off the paved road, so if you are taken to a dirt road just turn around and do not venture into the forest like I did because you are not in the right spot lol. I'll be sure to fact check my sites going forward.
Once at the camping area, there was a ranger there doing his rounds that reminded me to sign in after I got set up for the night. I didn't see him again during my stay. There were plenty of spaces big enough for my 33ft camper on Sunday July 2nd, with only a few campsites occupied by tents. Cell service with Verizon was a little spotty but I was able to work with Homefi without any issues. It uses any available cell tower so I can't confirm what cell tower it was using.
I would definitely come back to this site if I was in the area. It is very hilly getting to the camping area, but the roads are wide and nicely paved. Most of the sites were not level but didn't take more than 1 set of leveling blocks. Some sites were spaced far apart, others were a little close to one another. The only downside I found was the horse droppings left behind by folks camping with horses. This camping area is geared towards horse trailers and I suppose the presence of their poop throughout the campsites may not matter to some. Overall it was a really nice spot

A nice clean area with plenty of space for RVs as well as horse stables around the sites. Firepits, tables, and a picnic table were all available including a portapotty on site. We have t-mobile and there was absolutely no service until a few miles outside the sites.

Area was very quite, even with the neighbors. I enjoyed eating at the Beaver Den Diner and Lewis' Restaurant...EXCELLENT food at both places!
Excellent Verizon signal with Cradlepoint, 63Mbps. No connection available with my TMobile SIM.

Accommodates large rigs well in assembly area. Camping area just to the east has sites that will accommodate larges rigs, but there are low hanging branches and a sharp turn at the entrance if coming in from the east on Moscow road. I would recommend that you go to the assembly area and walk or take your toad to explore the eastern camping area. If you decide to camp there then you will not have to deal with the sharp turn.
We were here during the week and it was very quite. We could access miles of hiking trails right from our site. There are brochures for an auto tour loop at the kiosk. It is well worth the drive to see the beautiful forest.
It is a hilly drive to this camping area, but if you love to hike and plan to stay a few nights it is well worth it.
