Moose Rapids Campground

This campground is about 3mi off a paved road and we had no problem getting to the site with our 24ft motorhome, also passable with a passenger vehicle.

The town of Republic maintains the sites fairly well. The grass around the area seemed to have been recently cut. They even had a porta potty available but we did not use so I can't speak on how clean it was. This was well worth a small donation fee.

We camped on the larger patch of grass with access to the water. It had a fire ring and a picnic table.
We visited in July and only one other trailer was here. The next morning, at 5am, a pickup truck drove around but did not bother us. We'd love to come back but only when the mosquitoes are not out for our blood. ha!

Cell reception was good with our booster but there seemed to have a bit of congestion.

It's a wonderful little park totally unmanned has a sign saying donations and we'd like $5 per night, but it's just a suggested donation. There are about 12 sites near the river side---and a couple of porta-jons we were gonna stay, but decided to go back down towards our home in lower peninsula of michigan. Hope to maybe camp there some in the fall when leaves are in color.
