Moose Lake Campground consists of a single loop with 15 sites total, about half of which can be reserved. The rest are on a first come first served basis. We enjoyed our stay here; it is very quiet and the sites have lots of shade and are spaced relatively far apart. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. There are two pit-toilets that serve the campground, one of which is relatively new. Both are kept clean and well stocked. For water there is a well with an electric pump on the left side as you enter the campground. The well is terminated in a threaded steel pipe that was too large to accommodate our water hose or “water bandit”. So … we used a 6 gallon jerry can and multiple trips to the well to fill our water tank. When you push the button to start the well pump it runs long enough to deliver 3 – 4 gallons of water then automatically shuts off. There are also two dumpsters serving the campground, one for trash and one for recycling. Just before entering the campground there is a turn off to a boat ramp and parking area for trucks and boat trailers.
To reach this campground you must travel about 7 miles down Forest Service roads from HWY 77, but don’t let that be a major concern, we found the Forest Service roads to be well maintained and wide enough and have enough vertical clearance to easily accommodate our 35’ long 5th Wheel trailer.
In my opinion, of the reservable sites #2, 4, 6, 10, 11, 12, and 14 are long enough and level enough to accommodate a large rig and have a reasonable chance of getting level. Of the non-reservable sites #3, 5, 13, and 15 are deep enough and level enough for a large rig. The other sites are deep enough to accommodate a large rig but you may have difficulty getting level.
One last thing to mention, come prepared for mosquitoes. They are present but if you are prepared you can still enjoy your stay.

The campground is located on the shore of Moose Lake. Amenities consist of water (electric pump, not hand), garbage, a beach, and a boat ramp. None of the campsites are truly waterfront, but in addition to the small beach there are trails down to the water from a number of sites. There is also a boat ramp. No facilities for docking or mooring so if you have a powerboat, you'll likely need to pull it out each day. There are a few spots where you can beach a kayak, but for the most part the shoreline is heavily wooded. The beach is a nice grassy area, however be warned that the lake is very shallow so you will have to go pretty far out to actually swim. It's a great beach for children.
About half of the sites are reservable. The sites are well screened by vegetation from each other. A few sites have too much slope to ever get a trailer level, but those appear to be first-come sites and largely on the interior of the loop. Most of the sites are large enough to accommodate large (40 ft) RVs, though that length makes leveling trickier as the lake sites commonly slope down to a flat area.
We stayed here over the July 4th weekend and found it surprisingly quiet. There wasn't even much boat traffic on the lake. Mostly fishermen. There is no camp host at this small camp, but beyond the loose dogs on the beach, there wasn't much else inappropriate going on.
Access is via gravel road. It's a long washboard gravel road off Hwy 77 from the north. If you have the option come in from the south on Moose Lake Road to travel less on gravel.
