Overall Rating
I was looking to camp at Navy Beach, but Rangers were a deterrent, so I headed east on Hwy 120 for 3 miles to the 7000 ft elevation sign, where there is plenty of open land (BLM maybe). Lots of quiet spaces, where tenting is free - dispersed camping. I road out the July 2019 Ridgecrest earthquake here.
There are no facilities here, but the Navy Beach "potty" is 3 miles away.
