One of my favorite spots in the world. I’ve stayed here every year since I was a kid. Quiet spot with large sites and an awesome reservoir for swimming and fishing. Dry camping- typical forest service campground with water bibs around for filling up. No electricity or sewer connections. They just put in an AT&T tower and signal is good - shhh don’t tell anyone!! This year I was appalled at the condition of the area - from recent fires to bark Beatles to lack of forest upkeep… The water was turned off and there were no staff or Rangers to be found anywhere. Our stay was cut short due to the California fires.

This place is absolutely fantastic. We camped in the free sites on NF land. There was a paid for NF campground near and a small resort with cabins and a small country store. Perfect for someone who doesn’t like a highly built up areas. Lots of trout, nice trails, Jeep trails, natural hot springs, and wonderful people. GO HERE!!
