Overall Rating
You are out in the country, yet close to stores in Hesperia and Apple Valley if you've forgotten anything. Beautiful views of the back side of the San Gabriels as well as the surrounding high desert. Excellent sunset and star gazing.
Sites are large and very well-spaced; there were only a handful of other vehicles in the H/U loop, and it was very quiet and serene (except inside our trailer, where we watched the Rams win the Super Bowl!)
We wanted to be close to home, with full hookups, to test out our new trailer's systems. This was the perfect spot for that-- not a commercial RV resort, which is not our preference. Bathroom was fine; didn't use the showers. County employee we spoke with was welcoming and friendly. We hardly left our site, but if we camped here again there are hiking and birdwatching opportunities nearby that I'd take advantage of. You could do a lot worse for a weekend getaway.

We loved our visit to the park. It was nice during the day and cool at night. The moment that the sun touched the San Gabriel mountains it was cool and with a light breeze.
Very dark and the stars were beautiful.
Deep sites with lots of room between.
$40 per night with 30amp, sewer, water.
