Overall Rating
This is now managed by the Texas Historical Commission. They have plans for upgrades and the electricity needs it. We are here in November so not being able to run the air conditioning was not a deal breaker but other times of the year please note the 20amp service.
Having sewer and water, garbage can and cement slab for the picnic table all get high marks. The grounds, paths, and trees are so wonderful.
The museum is full of historical information and be sure to tour the houses in San Augustine along with the swales outside of town, 12 mile drive.
