“Scenic, Quiet Cliffside Location. Careful for broken glass”

Reviewed Mar 22, 2017

Overall Rating

Camped here on March 21, 2017. Campsite I stayed at was 1/4 mile past the recreation picnic area on the left. Site was appropriate for up to 20' rig, but was not level. I had a hard time finding a spot level enough where I could level with blocks. Once situated though, the campsite was ideal. Situated right below the Miracle Rock cliffs, the view was spectacular, especially when sunset illuminated the cliffside.

Site had a small stone fire ring.

Be aware that there is quite a bit of broken glass around the site. If not for the trash and broken glass, this would have been an absolutely perfect spot.

While I was there I did see one conversion van camping in the picnic area. The BLM website does not explicitly prohibit camping in the picnic area, but I am not sure of the rules.

No mobile coverage on Verizon or AT&T.

“A nice weekend getaway”

Reviewed Dec 26, 2016

Overall Rating

We enjoyed camping with our 17' hybrid camper up near Miracle rock. It has beautiful views and we enjoyed the hike up to Miracle rock. At the trailhead to Miracle Rock there is a decent parking lot with a few picnic tables and restrooms. There were only 2 spots in the area that would have accommodated our rig. It was a great weekend getaway.
