This is an interesting campground in the fact that they don’t give out any maps or any paper of any kind. They do put a paper statement on the post outside your campsite indicating all the information and checkout date.
The sites are large, forested, no services. Lots of pit toilets and recycling throughout the campground along with water. They do have showers. We never used them so I really can’t say much about them. The pit toilets are clean.
We could not get our Starlink to work well, it occasionally would come in and out. it would probably depend on your campsite. We did have solar enough that we didn’t have to run our generator. Generator hours are 9 to 11 and 6 to 8 as all provincial parks seem to be.
The beach was rocky and very little sand. There was a dog beach, but you were supposed to keep your dog on a leash, which I found ridiculous. I guess I’m spoiled as the beaches on PEI’s and in the states mainly are sandy. With the tidal shifts it wasn’t pleasant. It seems that people around here are just used to them.
There is not much hiking available. Just a little loop that will take you down to the beach.
Lots of families with kids and bikes, and last night which was Friday so much noise throughout the campground, even after quiet hours
There were two hosts, but I never saw them. There are employees that drive around in little carts that check your site and clean it up after you leave. Otherwise we never saw any one like we have in other Provincial park campgrounds.

Campground is very large so if your in the very back it's a bit of a walk to the beach.
No hookups.
Telus cell coverage is pretty spotty but existent.
Saratoga Speedway is very close, so if you like races go check it out. There is also some miniput, and ice cream close by.
Water and dump station are available.
$33/night + $6/night reservation fee Canadian. (BC parks charges a reservation fee for the first 3 nights.. kind of a scam in my opinion)

Miracle Beach Provincial Park made a great base for exploring the area around Campbell River. The campground is large and wooded with spacious and quite private sites that have fire rings and picnic tables. There are no hook-ups, but there is a dump station ($5 CDN fee). Flush toilets, and showers (free, but mine was barely lukewarm) are available at a central location. Water spigots, vault toilets, and trash receptacles are located around the campground.
Because this is a very large campground you may need to ride your bike or drive your vehicle to the day use area to access a rail to the beach which is popular for swimming, sunbathing, etc. There is a nice covered picnic pavilion, as well as restrooms, at the beach area.
One tip: this is an extremely popular park for families. Shortly after entering the park you will go by the shower house and a children's playground. Drive slowly and carefully! There were zillions of small kiddos zooming around on bicycles in this area. Most of them were clueless about traffic and supervising adults were few and far between.
The price quoted above is in CDN funds and doesn't include an $18 CDN reservation fee we paid ($6 per night - BC Prov. Parks charges the fee per night, not per reservation). With the reservation fee included, our stay was approx. $31 US/night.

To fill your freshwater holding tank the water taps that are scattered around the park are threaded so you can attach a water hose and the valve is a lever that stays open (not spring-loaded like most provincial parks.)
Bell cellular coverage is 3G at the back of the park and LTE at beach/front of the park.
Tide goes out about 1 kilometer at lowest tide.
Check tide using Mitlenatch island: https://www.tide-forecast.com/locations/Mitlenatch-Island-British-Columbia/tides/latest
You can reserve a site May 1, 2019 – Sept. 30, 2019, up to four months in advance. Weekends sell out immediately so be quick.
Bring mosquito repellant, we stayed Aug 5-9 and I had over fifty mosquito bites even with deep woods off.
