Miners Flat

Rolled in on a Wednesday evening as an unplanned stop and were greeted by several head of cattle. There are about 4 sites at this location, all of which seem to have been made up by campers. We parked under a tree near a fire ring and enjoyed the bug-free, windy evening, listening to coyotes hooting and hollering nearby. No cell service, and a random trailer parked in a site and a raft tied up in the river with no one nearby until the next morning when a guy in a truck pulled in. Only draw back to the site were the cow pies left by the free-roaming cattle that our dog couldn't resist eating (so gross!). Those without pets wouldn't have the same issue.

Oh if only this spot had any cell service. No ATT or Verizon even with a booster.

This BLM spot if located down a 6 mile paved road outside of Oroville. You turn right off the paved road into the BLM dirt/gravel road. Very easy turn in.

Once in the BLM, there is an immediate campsite on the right side. If you go just a bit further, there is another back in site on the right ( this site backs up to an overlook of the river ). Either of these sites would fit our 30’ Airstream.

Staying to the right takes you down to a couple more sites and and loop to get back out.

There is also another camping areas to the left. Once you enter the BLM,and pass the first site on the right, watch for the road going left. This will take you down a small dirt road with several areas to camp. I would NOT go past the big tree on the right. After the tree it’s downhill and rough.

The BLM has no services but is FREE. There’s a river that runs right along the BLM.

All in all, very nice for a night.
