We stayed here for two nights in late august. Both nights we were one of maybe 4 other campers. Well off the road, no traffic noise. Colors are just starting to change, it is very beautiful. The campground had been recommended to us by a ranger and was a great treat. The Falls were very pretty and the boardwalk/observation deck well maintained and a nice way to stretch our legs. We stayed here in mid-August (Discovery Day weekend) as a base for driving the Haines Hwy (2 hrs to Haines with no stops). The campground was almost full on the Sunday due to the long weekend but was almost empty on Monday evening. The drive in was fine - any potholes were easy to avoid. Our site was really nice - long, reasonably level, 2 visible mountain peaks. I would definitely stay here again both for the scenery and as a base to hike some of the southern trails in Kluane.
As in all the Yukon Territory parks the campground was unserviced and had free firewood. We had no cell service.

We have a crew cab, long bed, F350, with a 41ft 5th wheel, and we had no problem navigating the good interior roads. We were one of 2 couples in the park, and it was phenomenal. It was so dark and quiet all night long. The sound of the falls was all we could hear.
Being early September, we were treated to a wonderful display of the Northern Lights. This is definitely on the list for a return trip.

The sites were in great condition, with the creek flowing behind many of them. If your on the Alaska Hwy., and have the time I highly recommend making the side track down the Haines Hwy. in order to check this place out for a night or two. We stayed in September of 2017.
