Miette Campground

The campground is well laid out so that campers don’t feel overly close to one another. While lacking showers the bathroom facilities are very clean and modern with running water. Potable water is available but there are no dump facilities. There is also no cell coverage in the campground itself but can be obtained closer to the main road a few miles away. Our campsite C29 was flat with dense tree cover. Most sites have substantial healthy tree cover which is hard to find in the Jasper campgrounds as most have been ravaged by the pine beetles. Most of the pull-ins are small to medium-sized and are not flat.

We stayed here one night while working our way North to Alaska. Nice National Park Campground with big sites in the trees to feel more secluded than you really are. Some new improvements (i.e. Bathrooms) but still a little rough around the edges. Trees branches over road make for tight squeeze in a big rig. Location to Miette Hot Springs perfect to stay and play (15km drive away) with lots of wildlife viewing. We saw 5 bear on the road to and from the hot springs.
