If you're retired, this is a lovely park with fishing opportunities within walking distance from your campsite and a nice swimming area either a long walk or a short drive away. Wear something on your feet when you go in swimming because the sand only extends a short way out and then it's rocky. If you're planning to work online from the road, however, this place IS NOT for you! Only ever got one to two bars and had to drive a short distance, checking the bars on my phone as I went, to find a shelter or spot to work from all day. But, a lovely campground with very spacious sites, water views and some shade. Nice playground for the kids. We had water/electric, 30 amp service. Had to drive to the dump station twice during our stay as kids and grandkids were with us! There's a Dollar store in Lyndon, just 8 miles away, that had a good selection of staple items. 20 miles to Walmart in Osage City.

We paid $20/night (we made reservations ahead) but learned later that the senior citizen rate is $10/night for 62+.
