Very clean, well maintained area on a 9 hole golf course with Club house. Met several nice folks in the community around club house/park. 4 total spots, all with trash bins & nice picnic tables. All have 30amp, spot closest to BB area also has 50amp (on light post). Well lit area, use your black out shades at night. Water available on the side of Club house as you drive in the gravel road.
Town siren sounds daily at 12n, 6p & 10p (lunch, supper & bed time notices😉). Trains nearby & blow horns but didn't bother us.
This is a clean, quiet small town with a hidden gem respite for travelers. Be sure to sign the guest book, keep the area clean & leave a donation. Thank you Michigan City Park, we enjoyed our stay & meeting everyone!

We called ahead of time. They informed us there is a 14-day limit. While northbound from US-2, our GPS suggested a right turn onto 3rd St, but turn LEFT and the sites will be at the end of the road on the left. Go slow through the intersections as the valley gutters for drainage are like reverse speed bumps. Sites are relatively level, firm-packed lawn at the edge of Duffers Club & Golf Course. Light sleepers may not like trains going by about 100 yards away, or the noon, 6:00pm & 10:00pm short sirens, but we had no problem with them. A streetlamp at each end of the lot lights up the area at night, but should not be an issue if you have night blinds. A few locals will drive by daily and will likely strike up a conversation with guests. There are 4 sites with 30-amp electric and a "Free Will Offering Drop Box" that I highly suggest those using the electricity to please give back what you take. The town has grocery, hardware, convenience stores and a saloon/grille with very good burgers & sides. Michigan is a very clean and well-kept town of 250-300 population. Devils Lake and Grand Forks are around 35 miles away in opposing directions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back again the next time we are in the area.

Read the previous reviews but add this to your expectations. There is a short siren that goes at 6pm. ( Kids go home to eat supper ) and again around 10pm. ( Time to go to sleep ). Funniest thing ever!!!

There is a donation box for your stay. We had no trouble getting our 40 foot fifth wheel in, but could’ve been tough if there were others there, the electric peds are really close together. Also, quite a few big dips coming through town.

Then he got on a tractor and mowed the golf course for about an hour. Then he came to the door of my rig and wanted to know who I was and if I was alone - why would anyone ask that question???? Seemed very nosy.
A siren went off at about 10 PM, a very noisy train with lots of horn went by at 11 PM and 5 AM, wonderful sounding hooting owls start at alarming at 6 AM, and very bright security lights all around - otherwise quiet and free electric.
Tried to get onto the Wi-Fi and all of them are secured. There’s no password in the sign in box.
Had to pull out my levelers in the site closest to the concrete pad and level up about 3 inches on the passenger side.
Even with five bars of Verizon LTE the download was 18 and the upload was 11.
Small turn around at the end of the entrance and three sites available. I’m the only one here

We pulled in to the end of the cul de sac and took the spot by the old basketball courts.. there is power on 4 pedestals on the this end.. this spots get some afternoon shade but the rock is better.
(update),, if you park right to the left of the brown rock you will get shade from morning till well after lunch.. this is july 15th i am seeing the shade to like 1:30pm.. you are pointing almost north /south, if you back in your tail is south. If you have solar panel like we do but our on the driver side so you will get PLENTY of sun from like 2PM till sun set which is around 8:45 this time of year..
After a bit the caretaker Keith came by and get to chatting with him.. at some point he mentions there are some other spots up by the clubhouse with elec as well.. there is a sign saying "tent camping" but he was like there is plenty of room for tents and RV's with shade and 3-30 amp plugs plus 2 -15 amp plugs. I will try to post some pic of the area.. it looks like there are at least 3 spot with elec on the panel you see by the street light,, which is sorta bright..
SO we moved.. it was a bit of a deal with a airstream which we came in the wrong way.. there is a drop off so we scrapped the dirt coming in.. not a biggie but be aware. coming from the street with a higher camper would not be such a issue. we were just to the left of the power and light pole looking from the gravel road.
Some fun facts:
Water is on the side of the clubhouse you come by.. there is nice long hose to use and the water is quite cold..
Water TDS i measured at 690 need to recheck that but that is some hard water but it did taste nice.
speedtest.com tmobile was 6.58 mbps Att hotspot was 7.5 mbps down..
A word on the trains... LOUD.. one came by around 1:30 am, another one was about 30 min after and the last was some hour after that.. there is a crossing just some 2-300 yard down the road and they start the horn several times before that especially if they are coming from the west.. from the east not as bad a the horn is other side of town. I used ear plugs last night and did fine but it did not seem to be as many trains.. Amtrak speeds through around 6 am.. hardly hear them at all.
you will get a lot of folks that drive by on the gravel road,, they are looking at the golf course etc.. it not you they are spying on so don't worry.. everyone if friendly and this is a warm little town feeling.
Keith woods the caretake of sorts may drop by to chat.. he drive a chev pickup, green 4 wheeler or a impala that might show up..
if you use the elec for like AC a lot figure about $5 a day for donation.. we will drop some money in the box for elec but it was not hot enough to need AC.. (lot of wind and low humidity) Now next week the temp are soaring to 100 so that might change but we are heading out soon.
Other than that its a perfect place. so far. :)
Oh and if you are here the july 16th ish weekend be sure to stay for Michigan days.. its a hoot.. hole in one, horseshoe contest, dunk tank, bounce house, corn hole or bean bag toss, it was fun check there facebook page.
EDIT.. more fun facts. the market as its call up by the Mall is open M-F 11a to 9 p, Sat 9a-5p and no hours for sunday.. (the door was locked.)
final tip.. if you are down by the basketball goals there is a street light that is quite brite,,( there is one up by the front where the elec panels are as well).. If you want to make it dark .. open the large panel cover, you pull out and down a bit and see the breaker marked ,,, light.. flip that off and dark.. its nice not to have a bright light in the windows at night.. the breakers for the rest of the 30 amps are in there as well.

There’s a beautiful golf course here which is fairly trafficked. Also a playground for children. Lots of room for pups to run and play. Our golden retriever loved playing frisbee here! We met the person in charge of the park (Keith) and he was very nice. He likes to know who’s staying here and for how long. The neighborhood nearby is very clean and the couple of people we talked to were very nice. There’s a register to sign and a donation box. We will definitely be back!
