Overview of Michaux Designated Campsite #7
Michaux State Forest offers numerous designated primitive campsites without developed facilities that can be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Campers are required to obtain a camping permit at no charge. For information about campsite availability in Michaux State Forest and to obtain a permit, follow the link above for an interactive map. Applications for weekend camping must be received before 12N on Thursday. Submitting an application does not guarantee the availability of the site or right to camp. A permit must be issued by the forest district.

Overall Rating
Although Michauw State Forest is beautiful. Site 7 sucked. We are in a van. It is not level at all. We couldn't even get close to level. We went to the office to ask to move, so we moved to the Teaberry Parking Lot #21 which wasn't ideal, but everything was booked, and we were level.
Site 7 doesn't really have a good tent spot either. Only if you're desperate would you want this site.
Site 6 looks amazing and mostly flat. And Site 5 looked more flat. And a lot more private. Check those sites out first.
The office where you get the permit was both very friendly and super efficient.
Absolutely no cell service with our Tmobile.
