Miami Bar

Please this a jem in nature keep it clean and DO NOT ABUSE IT. No traffic of any kind the river is a majestical sight please honor this place.

This is a beautiful camping area that very few people know about and this will be the only website that will have directions... Take a right at the flashing light in Selma and keep going for 15 miles past all the marked camping areas. When you get to the Miami bar turn around and go back about 300 yards. The one lane road is bumpy wash board dirt road with big pot holes. Try your hardest to not pick up speed going down hill because the washboard will vibrate you off the mountainside. Fine for cars with standard suspension as long as you take your time. I have seen large pickups, camper vans and a popup here, but there is really no room to turn a large trailer or RV around.

The water at the bar is no deeper than 5-6 feet and it is crystal clear and perfect temp for swimming in the summer. If you stand still the trout will try eat the hairs on your legs. . Bathroom's, table's and fire pits and it's free Just clean your messes up and take out what you bring in. There are no garbage cans. 20+ years of camping there...
Now that I have shared this Camping sight with everyone I kinda feel bad and I am afraid people will trash it.

I was camping there in 2002 for a week and was woken up by the ranger and told to hurry up and get out we had about 30 min before Biscuit Fire was going to burn through. We woke up covered in ashes. Luckily the fire turned and missed the area but did burn the other side of the river.

Please, please keep this area taken care of. Take home everything you bring in and if you see someone else left a mess try and get that as well....
