Merlin Lambert Park

I have stayed here countless of times before my retirement. The park itself is well maintained. The campground is near a dam and you cannot see how big the lake/ flowage actually is. Weekends can get a bit crowded but weekdays had a day or two alone or just a few campers. The boat launch area usually still gets some use daily. I was in site 1 not too far from the launch. While i did not fish this trip; in the past i can say the largemouth bass i usually caught averaged from 14-15 inches with a rare occasional 19 inch.
Campground has a hand pump water fountain, so either bring your own water or an adapter for the spout.(not threaded) While the toilets are not the cleanest, they do have them. The grounds itself are usually decent. The county at least a takes care of the big trash.Some camper this trip left the place trashed and the county had it picked up pretty quickly.
