We set-up at the Mendenhall Campground for 4 nights while in Juneau. The campground is close to the community of Auke Bay and Mendenhall Valley, which has everything you need. Overall Rating

Online reservations only. Fills up fast. Full service sites are $28 and E/W sites are $26. Very private sites. Well patrolled by park rangers and staff. Fairly level pads. Beautiful setting on Mendenhall lake looking across at the Glacier and Nugget Creek falls. The trails to the falls and Glacier are worth the trip.

Our proximity to Mendenhall Glacier was superb. One day we hiked to the glacier and the next day we kayaked - all directly from the campground! Also, the impressive Mendenhall Waterfall and Visitors Center is a short 5 minute drive. We loved this area and the campground's amenities were good.
