They added a newer section with is all pull thru FHU no trees (which I like) makes parking easy. Sites were gravel but level. Had a good park for kids. There is a city swimming pool that you can go swim at I believe. It’s just off the driveway of the campground. Maybe a 200 yards from the check in office. We stayed 3 nights and we will stay again if passing thru

Sites are packed together. There is no excuse in a state with lots of land like ND, to pack RVs in like sardines. Just enough room for a picnic table in between sites and your neighbors sewer is next to your picnic table. Terrible!! If it rains, the place is a mud pit. We had a 50 amp Long site that wasn't long. We had a 50 amp Long site that wasn't long. Couldn't get our 30' Class A in and have room for our car. Don't get a short site unless you are 15' or less. People park all over because there is no room. Ask for the new section if you have a big rig, the sites are longer but still close together. Yellow jackets were all over the park. Constantly had to catch them from inside our rig.
Good access from I-94 through Medora. Close to Theodore Roosevelt South unit. We saw lots of bison on the scenic loop. I94 across ND was one of the smoothest highways we have driven on through 43 states.
Wifi was useless and we were right next to the antenna. AT&T cell service was good, 5 bars of 5G. Streamed easily without a booster.
Site quality makes this park a one star. One of the worst we have stayed at in 143 campgrounds.

The bathroom’s were at least clean and stocked. Close to Theodore Roosevelt NP which was nice. The NP was very underwhelming. We will not be returning. Word of advice is watch your speed in the park. The rangers ticked us for going just a couple miles over the limit down a hill.

The campground primarily exists for those coming to Medora to see the Musical or Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Sites are very closely spaced. The many Cottonwood trees in the area were relentless this time with their cotton falling/blowing everywhere. Full hookups available. Scenic area with plenty to do. The reason I'm giving it three stars this time is due to some issues that show a lack of attention to detail by the operators. Shower I used was not draining well, so water was 1/2" deep in dry side of shower. Toilet stall was out of toilet paper. (Someone had left a small roll thankfully). One of the two soap dispensers was out of soap and the paper towel dispenser was out of paper towels. I told the check in person about both of these issues yesterday, and she seemed aloof to the report and I didn't see her make any note of the missing items. (They were not replaced as of this morning.) Campground just recently opened for the season and was not yet full. Hopefully these issues are not the norm, and were not the last two times in previous years I was here. This is not a destination campground, but rather a temporary place to stay while in the area for the show or the park. It serves that purpose well, but could use some attention to detail in regards to the bathrooms and showers. Checkin went very well with the manager. (She was not present when I went back later to mention items missing in bathroom.) Reservations were helpful in selecting site. There is a railroad across the highway, but I didn't notice it over night. Trains were not bothersome during the day. Campground is less than a mile from town, with good sidewalk along the way.

For $60 we got a pull through full hook up with a gorgeous view. Yes the sites are close together. We basically were sharing a picnic area with the neighbors. But we were hardly there so it doesn’t really matter. Well lit, wide sidewalks, dog park at the end of the road, and you can literally walk into town. It was a great campground right next to the entrance of the park. Would highly recommend. And most sites were have new electrical poles.

Checked in online because we were going to arrive after closing. Friendly staff called to confirm and see if we had any questions about our site or the campground. Lots of units there when we stayed but was very quiet! Very pet friendly as well!

They are close to Medora and Teddy Roosevelt NP. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Clean laundry room, bring your own detergent. Now about the campsite- they are tight, at least site 218 was. There is power and water along with a picnic table and grill. Look at picture to see how tight.

All of the sites have the sewer sticking about 8 inches out of the ground. The sewer is at the front of the site and electric and water is at the back. Almost every site when you pull in your picnic table is over your neighbors sewer. We drove around the park and asked to be moved to an older part of the campground. It was a little tighter but we could move our picnic table away from the sewer. If you just need a place to stay to go to TRNP then it was fine, I would not camp here again though.
